The First Chances project began in 2007 and has grown since with an increasing number of pupils getting involved annually. The programme works with secondary schools to encourage their pupils to attend higher education. With the help of student ambassadors and University staff, individuals are given advice regarding university life, successful applications, and possibilities that can be achieved at University. The experiences and skills that the pupils gain through this project are hoped to aid them in achieving their full potential.
The primary cause for session was to present the children with the vast array of activities and clubs that they can take part in at University. During the session the children were introduced to how Ultimate is played and shown different throwing techniques, finishing off with some fun games.
